to CPO or not to CPO

I'm buying a used 2016 RS7 with very low miles that is NOT a CPO. My dealer says he will certify it for $1800 before I take delivery. I plan on keeping the car for 3 years or so and I'm wondering if it's worth the $ to have it CPOed. Factory warranty will carry me through the time I plan on owning the car.

    Thoughts?

Depends on what your planning on doing with the car three years from now. If you're trading it in for something else no need to CPO it. If you're planning on selling it to someone then CPO it. As long as your not going to blow thru the mileage warranty in three years I'd say take the 1800 and have some fun! When I was looking at cars I strictly needed a CPO car. I looked at a 2016 with 1700 miles on it but ended up with a 2014 S6 with 4100 miles and a CPO warranty till 2020 or 100k miles. I went with the 2014 since I drive a lot of miles.

If your buying an RS7, really what's $1,800 bucks? You never know what your going to do with the car down the road and it seems like a small price to pay IMO. Either way post some pics when you get it!

for $1800, that's a no-brainer. it normally costs about $3k, and I'd imagine you're one medium part replacement away from recouping that cost. Do it!

Some of you are missing a key point. His factory warranty is good for the time he says he will own it (3 yrs). Personally ... I would skip the CPO unless your going to keep the car. Resale? If you sell privately ... the CPO will help. If you trade it in (which is what I do .... I can't stand the selling process) ... the CPO is a waste of money.
