Incorrect. You can't buy one
new in your same configuration. I can assure you you could buy one used with the exact same configuration and probably the same miles; therefore, not irreplaceable.
I keep meticulous care of my property and belongings, but I don't decide what I do in life based on that. When it starts to interfere with your life then it's a problem. That said, it's your decision...so if you're fine changing things in your life because of your belongings, it's your choice.
Honestly, what I'd recommend: Buy a beater. Anytime you're doing something that you might not want to take the S4, take the beater. When I go for (sand) volleyball tournaments, and the like, I don't take the S4. That way I don't freak out about how much sand I'm tracking in or if I'm dirty.
