    Brake Options 2008 Avant 3.2?

Several years ago, I posted a question regarding brake upgrade options for my 2005 A4 1.8 Avant. A member suggested that I use a set of S4 calipers. I bought a set from a forum member and was good to go/stop.
I've recently bought a 2008 3.2 Avant I'd like to upgrade the brakes without breaking the bank so again I'm reaching out for suggestions.

What type of driving are you doing? Do you track the car?

As I am sure you are aware, there are several options to go with based on how you are drving and what $$$ you want to spend.

-Big Brake Kits like the ones offered by Stop-tech are the best performers, but are also the most expensive.
-Brake conversions from other VAG cars (Audi/Porsche) is also done. Again potentially great performance but can be expensive as well.
-Upgrading pads and rotors of the same size and adding stainless steel brake lines can increase braking performance, feel, etc. ECS Gomet disks and Adams rotors are popular and pairing them with quality ceramic brake pads like Akebono, Hawk, etc. gives you the best bang for your buck if you are not Auto crossing or tracking the car.

The C6 came in several different engine configurations; 3.2, 4.2 3.0t and 5.2 (S6). These differnt engine configuations had different rotor sizes with the S6 being the largest. the 4.2 and 3.0t was next and then the 3.2 had the smallest.

I don't track or auto cross the car, I just recall the good brake feel with the S4 caliper added to my 1.8. I'm looking to do the same with my 3.2, I just don't know what will fit. Hawk pads never long story, I'll get stainless steel brake lines. I just need to find a set of larger brake calipers, maybe someone who has opt of Stoptech will want to sell is stock set. Thanks

Getting rid of the stock Semi-Metallic Brake Pads and replacing them with Ceramics would help tremendously.

I am on the fence with drilled rotors, some love them and some despise them.

If I had the cash ready, I'd call Brembo.

Brembo brakes would be good but that would be Overkill in my case. I'm just looking to upgrade. The brake lines where something I had forgotten about I went to steel braided lines with my A4 and noticed it right away. But nice street caliper upgrade is what I'm looking for.

Why not start with pads and brake lines and see if that is a sufficient enough of an upgrade?

I checked out a site that was having a sale on Brembo brakes for my car about 1/2 off. It's looking like a much better option than before even though it's overkill. My error the sale is on Stoptech
