A little backstory about how I got my beloved '96 2.8 A4: In 2003, when I was 4, my dad trashed his 92 Honda Prelude and needed a new (to us) vehicle. Luckily for me, he decided on an Emerald Green Mica/Pearl (I've seen both names so idk which one it is). For 7ish years it was his DD until he decided to get a new vehicle and basically abandoned his A4, left for dead rotting on the driveway. When I turned 16, he realized that we'd need another car for me to drive to hockey, soccer, school, and such. So he told me to either "fix the Audi" or "start saving for a new car". So, in July-August 2015 I worked at a family friend's garage basically helping out the technicians to work off any parts/labour I needed to get the car back up and running. The car needed: a pair of rear wheel bearings, basically all new breaks (calipers, rotors, pads, etc), & all necessary fluids. It still needs a new clutch, axle boot, and basically every single hose in the engine bay.
I got the car looking pretty old and dated, but numerous trips to Pick n Pull and finding @King_ on Instagram, I got the car looking 10x better and a lot younger. ('01 Mirrors, Tail & Headlights, a failed tint job done by myself, and some 1.8 trim on the interior)
Not sure what else to do performance wise (exhaust, intake, etc) cause there isn't much I can do on a 12v 2.8. But for a first car, I couldn't have asked for anything better & I'm glad I have it cause it's led me to meet a bunch of great people and hopefully many more on AZ.
