    Wanted - Sport Diff

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My car is a 2013 S5 and it didn't come with the Sport Diff. Curious as to what would it take to add it if at all possible. I'm guessing the rear diff itself but what all else is evolved? See cars being parted/sold all the time on Ebay and whatnot. I could easily do the work myself but just curious if it can be done and would it be worth it?

    Appreciated
    Bob

I believe there is an electronic component associated with it, which may require some sort of programming. It's not a mechanical LSD, so not as simple as swapping the one you have with a sport diff from another S5.

I can't find them, but I dug up the part numbers for this once. ITs not just a mechanical component unfortunately. Its an electronic controlled diff. You would need the whole assembly and controller. If I remember correctly though, you do not need a new ECU, as it will work with yours and can be coded in. Not much help, but its what I have for now.

I can almost guarantee it's going to require VAGCOM programming as well. I don't believe the sport diff. option even shows in MMI if the car isn't equipped for it, just like how Adaptive Suspension is.

Yes it's defiantly needs Recoding and adaptation true Vag-Com but shouldn't be a problem, I believe we can copy code from S5 with S/Diff and used.

I have VAG-COM so that wouldn't be an issue. Just would need to know what all components are needed. Rear Diff, Controller, Harness, Rear Axles? Would need to source all from one location as this would make things easier. From what I understand there's a switch for it that's under the DVD where the others are

Bringing this thread back to life. I do love it in my RS5 and I've got a '13 S5 without it. But...I've got a '12 S4 with it that I'm parting out so I have all of the parts. I've heard ECU, Diff, axles, wiring and programming. Anybody know for sure?
