Ventilated seats let down

Anyone else with the ventilated seats on S6 / S7 feel that they are lacking?

First off the fans in the seats are kinda noisy. Second, the temp from the seats doesn't seem THAT cool. I thought I'd read somewhere that in fact the Audi vent seats are only fan driven, no cooling / air conditioner. My point of reference is Father in laws 2008 BMW 7 series, and his 2015 GMC truck. Of the 3, the truck's is by far the best.

Anyone aware of ways to increase fan speed, cooling with vag.com?

I'm happy with them. They work via suction vs blowing. They keep my jewels dry in hot, humid weather. Added bonus that I can let out a little gas with my spouse in the car and it doesn't cause any drama. If you want icicles hanging off your pubes then they will not make you happy.

This is glorious! I don't have ventilated seats, but I sure wish they made them like the sport seats with the added cooling features.

One of my years in Iraq was spent driving around in an armored S600 with ventilated seats. They were glorious. I recall testing out the ventilated seats in either a S6 at a dealership in NC and not being that impressed, and definitely not enough to give up the diamond pattern sports seats.

When it comes to cooled seats, it's far better to blow than suck. Audi missed the boat on this.

Audi sucks then blows...... sucks ambient air and blows it out, like crap in crap out. Every other car I've owned blew out air-conditioned cold air. Audi definitely missed the boat on this one.

My S63 AMG has ventilated seats that suck instead of blow. They don't really work very well at all.
The seats in the A8 are much better.

I would agree they work but aren't strong, I have adjusted the massage feature via vagcom but couldn't find anything around the cooling option.

I agreed that its weak, part of the reason why i went with the sport seats or whatever audi calls them. I just crank up the AC to max now.

The cooled seats in the F150's are the real deal. Like @HeelBuff said , icicles on pubes. Lol

You guys are too particular. I love the ventilated seats. Yes ... they are a little noisy, but they work. In the Arizona heat .... I can definitely tell the difference with it on and off. It pulls cold air towards your butt.

I dont hate mine either. I am in TX so I can tell the difference too. Especially after dragging my ass at the gym. Lol

I just got a 12 A7 with them and I wasnt impressed at all. As op said, noisy fans, not much effect on my ball sack. Do they definitely INTAKE air rather than blow it out against your corn pipe?

BMW aren't cooled only fan driven. Maybe you're thinking more of the gmc which are air conditioned and awesome in the summer

My 2012 CTS-V had amazing cooled seats. Way better than my Escalade. Two things I miss on my S6 are those cooled seats and remote start.

I happen to think the cooled seats do a really good job on high. Even goes up the back a bit which is nice. Helps if you have some AC flowing down thru the floor and not just straight. It will snatch it up and make it seem cooler.
