I've had the cat back for about a year and it I love it. There is a little drone before the exhaust warms up, but once at temperature it sounds great. I added the HFC about two months ago. It's now a bit louder, but sounds better. The drone is minimal if any, if that's what you're worried about. Get it...

Do it! I'm running BB cat back with Eurocode HFC and I love it. It's the best set up for the Avant IMO. As psteph2 mentions, there's a tiny bit of drone on cold start but once she's warm it's a very nice sporty tone. This 3" set-up also has VERY noticeable torque gains when combined with a HFC, not to mention the oversized slash tips are pure beauty. Another bonus is that this system also comes with a down pipe.

I have it on my Avant also and I love it. Especially that it includes the downpipe. I also bought mine through LMPPerformance and highly recommend them as well.

Love mine on my b6 and they are a quality product for a much better price than other companies. That being said, if you don't plan on running anything besides the stock turbo save your money and just do a HFC or test pipe. You won't see any noticeable gains from a full turbo back. After that, If you want more sound or a different tone have some magnaflows mufflers welded on.

Stage 2 is just a gateway... Next is a K04 or something similar.
