    Wheels question (forgive me!) 20"

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys

New to the B8, picked up a Sprint Blue Avant 2010

    Currently on 19" wheels

Running 9x20" et30... Am I asking for trouble? Tyre size I can get away with?

On standard suspension at the moment, possible going KW HAS route later

    Any advice much appreciated

    Here's 20x9.0" ET40 with a 255/30-20 for comparison. (on H&R sport springs)

Stretched tires and possibly some adjustable control arms would likely allow for an additional 10mm of offset. I'm sure other members here have experience working closer to the specs you have listed.

    Hmmm

    That's pretty flush!

Perhaps a little stretch 245/235 will allow the extra clearance

With a 30 offset you might run into clearance issues with the suspension, you may need a 5 mm spacer and 245 series tires.

245 is what I was thinking too

Adding a 5mm soacer will just bring the wheel out further, making the wheels et25

Yes but usually with offsets lower than 35 the wheel/tire gets too close to the suspension so the spacer would push it out for clearance.

Err...spacers wouldn't make the wheels et25...it would just move the hub point out, but keep the offset amount identical.

Offset is wheel edge to hub connection, not to the actual hub.
