Question Help on Deciding: Differential Inserts

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I already bought the 034 MOTORSPORT TRANSMISSION MOUNT INSERT for my 2013 S5 Cabriolet.

I wanted to add the Differential Inserts and see there are a few different options:
1- 034Motorsport Billet Aluminum Rear Differential Mount Insert Pair (Front)
2- 034Motorsport Billet Aluminum Rear Differential Carrier Mount Insert Pair (Rear)
3- APIKOL REAR DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT INSERT KIT
4- ECS Tuning: Complete Rear Differential Mount Insert Kit

Any suggestions/pros/cons on choosing between the options above as I will do front and rear? The ECS kit is polyurethane and 034 is aluminum so any thoughts very much appreciated!

    TIA,
    -DJ

Choose the polyurethane bush inserts if they are available, they are more forgiving, introduce less vibration but are still a definite upgrade from standard.

aren't they pretty much all the same? I mean the shape is dictated by the the mount. I'd go with the cheapest one.

I have the entire 034 package: (1) rear differential carrier mount inserts; (2) transmission mount insert; (3) rear differential mount inserts; and (4) street density transmission mount. They work very well together. Very little vibration, if any at all.

Thanks all for the responses. I'm going to call ECS and likely just order their new inserts today.

    Cheers,

I also purchased the ECS kit.

It was much firmer, nice, but it did introduce some vibration, especially with city driving. I ended up removing the lower diff mount, the aluminum two piece, and just used the rear mounts, and I like it much better. Give it a go, and if you find the same, remove the lower mount first.

    Good luck!
