Get a kick out of this

So I recently purchased a my 2015 s6 sepang blue and love it except when this happens...
I am holding very heavy grocery bags in both my hands and approach the rear of my car and proceed to perform a trunk opening with the "kicking" maneuver and the darn trunk will not open! Picture me trying this "kicking" motion in a busy parking lot trying to look cool and not like an insane pissed off guy kicking his car. I actually hurt my shin while doing this so I calmly put down one bag and fished out my key from my front pocket to open with key fob button, but I try one more time with the "kicking" motion and voila finally the damn trunk opens! I'm sure people were having a good laugh...as was I! and then I remembered my shin still hurts.

Its easier to use the remote opening button on the key fob. Doesnt hurt your shin either

I find that mine works really well. The trick is to go straight in and out, with no sideways movement, and then make sure you wait a few seconds.

Maybe I am doing it wrong, but maybe yours 2016 version works better? I will try again and again...but this time in the privacy of my own garage! ;)

What the hell is the kicking maneuver?

If anyone ever put their feet near my trunk to open it, I would have some choice words

If you have the Audi Advance key, when you approach the vehicle (with your hands full) there is a sensor under the rear bumper that will open the trunk/hatch if you place your foot, or flick your foot under the bumper. However there is a "knack" to getting the right foot motion before it triggers the opening.
