Had timing belt changed not too long ago now getting p0021, p0011, p0025, p0015 codes

Back for more help on my emotionally attached b6 3.0 avant. And wondering two things. Could the mechanics doing the timing belt changed have caused this... not looking to blame anyone, but the place I took it is supposed to be top notch, but I'm starting to doubt it. Espec

And two, are these issues something I could fix on my own. I just bought a used car and always wanted to try to fix a car on my own so why not start here and now if these are issues that I can fix. I think I read somewhere the p0021/11 "intake camshaft position timing over advance (bank 1 and 2)", needed the motor to be pulled in order to fix it. But did see what year that car was.

I read the p0025/15 "camshaft postion timing over-retarded (bank1/2) is something I could do myself.

Can anyone confirm if the motor needs to be pulled for either issue on a 2004 3.0 motor...

    Thanks.

Shouldn't have to pull the engine for any cam related issues on a 3.0. It could be the VVT actuators, cam position sensors (theres 4), or the timing is out. The 3.0 is a picky engine with timing and if the timing belt wasn't done properly, you could certainly have issues.

    Cool.

I should add the car is making a LOUD clanking noise, that gets a bit louder if I step on the gas.

Yeah sounds like timing is off to me. My 3.0 rolled backwards with the engine off in 4th gear and caused all sorts of timing issues. I could only start the car while pressing the gas and when it did start I needed to keep on the gas in order to keep it running. While it was running, it was clanky as all hell. The shop might not have tensioned the belt or cam pulley bolts properly and now stuff is getting out of alignment. I'd call them up and see what their warrenty is and ask them if they used the proper tools.
