    Rubbery shifter sound?!

I have a 2013 A4 6MT. When it's really warm out, I get a weird rubbery/leathery feedback from my shifter, noise and a slight rubbing sensation. anyone else get this? So annoying!

I have the same, I think the shifter plastic/rubber slide bushings need lube. Mine does this in warm humid weather.

Without knowing what all the various parts are composed of I would think something like this is probably all you need to quiet it down: http://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/88594395

Same issue with mine. I usually pull out the leather boot and spray some silicone lubricant inside the rubber boot. That annoying rubbery grinding sound goes away for a year or so.
