    Coolant Pump Duty Cycle

    At idle, mine shows a specified duty of 88% with an actual of 50%. Is this normal? Can some one else check it out?

    Its hot AF in Phoenix, and I am just making sure my IATs are the best they can be. TIA

    I'll have to log this evening, I'm curious to see what mine is as well or if it even registers anything since I have an upgraded pump. But at least we can see what its requesting at idle, even though the actual will not register.

    Outside air temp : 40c
    Charge air cooling water pump; actual duty cycle : 90.234375%
    Charge air cooling water pump; Result : OK
    Charge air cooling water pump; Specified duty cycle : 88.000%
    Charge air cooling water pump; Status : 00000000 00000101
    Coolant temperature : 95c
    Intake air temperature : 54.75c

    Been idling for about 15 minutes with Ac on

    I wonder if different tuners modify the coolant pump duty cycle. Epl claims to "remap the intercooler circulation system" maybe thats what they mean by that statement.

    Damn, so yours was even higher than requested with much lower outside and intake temps.

    Honesty I have no clue why, I know that there are some situations like sensor failure when the pump goes into emergency mode and just stays on.

    When I was reading the self study guild on the 3.0t the pump usually operates at half capacity until IAT starts to climb.
    If Leo can confirm when he pulls his logs that yours is normal then I'll try to log mine again to see if somethings off.

    I'm seeing a requested amount of 88.000000% at idle in 81F temps (IIRC VCDS said 28.5C though), 2432 ft. D/A this morning. Of course my "actual" ends up to be 0.00000% since I have a different pump

    Does the pump modulate at all or is it hot wired to the battery.

    I was thinking about brewing my own kit with a Honda b20 electric water pump. They are proven.
