    Stage 1.5 S at altitude

Woof. I lived in Colorado for 15 years with a turbocharged (and heavily modified four-cylinder car) but taking my S on a road trip for the last couple of weeks was a wake up call.

    You poor high-altitude folk.

Spool up time at 4000+ feet was noticeably increased. Driving in D is an adjustment, especially if you need to suddenly get going quickly. I found myself using S just to keep pace with what I'd normally expect.

I had no idea how spoiled I am here at sea level in California (even with 91 octane).

It's interesting, a NA car with my power probably loses around 55-60Hp at 5300ft. of altitude. I didn't feel that level of hit to power at full boost, but responsiveness and spool was definitely affected.

Yessir, not ideal for NA cars up here. Nice for us though, I never get bothered by mustangs/camaros/challengers etc. they lose a lot of power up here
