    Question Oil Leak

I have been looking at photos and posts to determine where my leak could be coming from. I have a CPO 2013 S4 with 72k. I did an oil change about 3k ago, the drain plug is fine. I am getting drips in the back of the engine pooling up right at the rear screws of the belly pan. I took off the pan and its only wet in the rear. When replacing the oil, I did replace the O ring and the internal gasket.

I am thinking its the oil filter gasket, just not sure. Have any of you had this problem before? I was going to clean everything up, replace the oil, filter and gaskets and check again.

dsg or 6mt? I had a main input shaft seal leak that presented in that same way w drips pooling at the rear of the front belly pan but I highly doubt that's what you are experiencing.

I had oil pooling on the underbody shield that covers my Alu Kreuz and it was a pinched O ring on the oil filter housing.
Allow the motor to cool down and run your fingers along the oil filter housing base and see if it wet (be careful not to cut yourself on any sharp objects), also take a flashlight and try to look in that area and see if there's oil leaking down.

You can also go underneath, using the flashlight, and try to look up and see if it's actually coming from in-between the bellhousing and motor connection which would indicate the crankshaft seal is leaking.

    Good luck OP.
