Curious to know if any members have ever attended Camp Allroad in Colorado. It's 1100 mile but tons of fun I've heard and certainly offers a once in a lifetime trip memories. It's been on my bucket list and I'm curious to see if anyone else here has ever contemplated attending.

Add 500 miles to that lol. It's over 1600 miles from my door here in Gaithersburg to Colorado Springs. I'd love to go one year but I just don't see myself doing it.

x2. I have a buddy or family I could stay with too. but damn that drive would be a haul and a half. I have considered flying and then just renting an SUV while im there, but it wouldn't be the same. I also considered towing my car out there and back.

I was just reading up on it earlier this morning. Sounds like fun but I don't think I'd burn my kitchen pass for it. Isle of Man is where I'd like to go

Haha...That's what makes it a once in a lifetime trip, the distance :) ...and the memories (and bragging rights) afterwards of having done it. It certainly is quite a haul but I just can't seem to be able to get it off my bucket list.

I drove from Maryland to Breckenridge CO, man what a hike. Got pulled over in Kansas for doing 100mph and got a warning.

I've driven back and forth a lot of times, the drive is definitely grueling! Could make a cool week out of it and stop in a few cities on I80 then come back via I70 and stop in other cities.

Exactly how I'd handle it. Did you make the drive from VA and how many overnight stops did you take? I agree the drive could be grueling but the plan is to break it up over 7-10 days. I've always wanted to do a cross country vacation run and take in an Audi event along the way to make it even more interesting.

i've done the drive a ton of times, so max stops i've taken was 2 overnight, but that's because i was just trying to get to my destination and didn't really find the majority of the cities that interesting / had already been there on previous trips.

most of the time one stop, 14-15 hour days of driving. the only times i stopped in other places were to chill with friends, stopped in dayton, springfield, oberlin areas in ohio, chicago, lots of des moines and KC and STL stops. to be honest though, over 50% of the drive is just long and flat and straight. and just personally chicago was the only city i found really interesting. i went out of my way to twin cities once, that was cool too! stayed in the burbs though
