Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was driving to work to day going about 60 mph. i went to pass someone and floored it. It hesitated and then i saw a flashing cell. I pulled over right away and turned off the car. i waited a minute and turned it back on. It was fine. What could this be?
    Thank you
    Dom

haha, probably the esp light. hit your esp button and see if that is the light you are talking about. if it is no biggie, just probably lost traction as you were flooring it.

if the roads were slick.. then this ^^^ is your answer... otherwise, it could be a coil pack... which is still no big deal.

he said he was going 60 mph so i don't think he would have lost traction when he floored it.

i would vag-com as said above

you might want to search this forum for "flashing cel" i just did and it looks like it could be coilpacks.

Sounds like Coil-o Pack-o to me...

You only shouldn't drive your car when the flashing MIL is constant. If it happened when he WOT'd its most likely a misfires in which case the CP will eventually go bad but its ok to drive on (obviously only until the CP dies).

In any event, it might be worth it to buy 1 or 2 spare CPs and like I said before get a hold of VAG or ProDiag and check it out.

Well the CEL hasen't turned on again. I went to autozone to run the Vag and no codes where stored. What does that mean. Would coil packs go bad after 14k? I guess i should pick some up. How much do they cost?
    Thanks Dom
