So I am new to Audi family, and I heard that audi's mode had serious problems on oil consumption. So is that still happening on the new model? Anyone owning a new model can help me that? Thanks a lot

Too soon, brother. The oil consumption issue you mention was primarily on the 2009 model. There was a smaller uptick on the 2011 model, but nothing out of the ordinary since then.

I don't know if this is an accurate indicator, but the chrome exhaust tips of my 2009 A4 were always black with carbon. The tips on my 2017 A4 are so clean you can eat off of them. Yes, I know I've only owned it for a month ...

Audi took care of this though. Replacing many, many 2.0t piston and rings. I'm sure they learned there lesson... Every car has their flaws though:)

Yeah I had my 2011 Avant 2.0T rebuilt by the dealer because of oil consumption, new oversized rings, never ran quite the same again, traded it in a few months later. Audi was very aware and very on top of the problem.

I heard model before 2014 suffered a lot from this, but no ideas the new one now. Haha would you still get the new one?
