    Just did a motor swap need help

    So recently my motor blew on my 09 and i just swapped it out with a 2010 motor, everything is installed correctly , car cranks but doesn't fire, any ideas?

    Don't you have to reregister all the engine modules with the security setup with a vagcom or am I smoking crack?

    Does the tach register the engine cranking? Do you have an OBD scanner?

    Its getting fuel just no spark but the tach does show the rpm moving for a crank

    The immobilizer or engine ECU module does not "know" or "care" if you replaced the engine mechanical components....

    @S4'ed Asking because I'd genuinely like to know but from the keybob to the ingition to the ecu to the engine where is the protection/pairing actually important?
