Weak brakes after parking on incline.

    Morning!

Having brake issues with my 2000 A6 2.7t TIP. Here's what I've observed:

I just started parking the Audi outside in my driveway (~10 deg. incline) to make room for my Mustang. When I back out onto the street I put the car in reverse and the car will hold its position with the brake pedal depressed, but after the car gets any kind of momentum I can put the brake pedal to the floor and the car will slowly continue to roll back down the drive and the pedal feels soft while this is occurring. As soon as I'm on the street the pedal firms back up and everything works as it should.

Worth mentioning the DOT 4 reservoir is full and there are no leaks.

I'm due for pads and rotors but never had this problem when parking the car on the level in the garage.

Any advice on where to start looking?

That's just bizarre, I park my S6 on a similar incline and never had a problem like that. Maybe the incline is just a coincidence, have you tried parking the Audi in the garage and see if the problem still occurs? Does it happen all the time or just on a cold start when the car has been sitting for some time?

Sure, until a week ago the car spent every night in the garage, never had an issue. Only presents itself on cold start, if it's just there for a few minutes everything works as it should.
