Lots of threads on these here, just do a search. My buddy has one on his Golf R, and it's not bad...power is mostly in the upper RPM range, and it's simple to install. I'd go JB1 for the price and safety IMHO.

I looked it it when considering boxes. Reviews all positive. I ended up with the JB1 given their history with the platform and incredible customer service. Very happy with it. Makes you giddy stepping on the gas.

As it turns out, I just posted in the S3 group on facebook, but I just went APR Stage one, so I am looking to sell my neuspeed.

Care to share your impressions of the differences? Did you have a good dealer relationship or did you resign yourself to the potential of TD1.

Well I am in an A3, and getting the stage one flash makes it feel exactly like an S3, with maybe a slightly harder pull. Whereas the neuspeed got rid of the slowness of the car and made it feel more sporty. Granted it was a noticable difference, the tune really unlocks the car.

As for the dealer, I have been going to the same guy at my dealership for 4-5 years now. He will not hook up the ecu when I come in for service or whatever it may be.

We ran it on our S3 here for 20,000 miles or so. Shot some dyno videos of it if you want to check it out

I have it on my S3, perfectly happy with it. It adds some solid punch throughout the range. The gains won't be as good as a tune, but that's expected.

If I lived outside CA, I probably would have ordered a JB1. I was too lazy to ask someone here to order one for me.

That said, I'll probably take it off soon and switch to a Eurodyne tune.
