Do you flush your Power Steering Fluid every two years?

Do you flush your Power Steering Fluid every two years? Or will that only introduce more problems down the road?

ive only topped mine up since the rack got rebuilt about 6 years ago

I flushed mine when I installed my new rack but I have to assume the fluid previously was 13 years old.

My fluid is looking really old now. I never flushed my fluid and its been over two years now. I'm pretty sure its already crossed the maintenance interval. The mantra usually is to change only if its a legitimate problem, but flushing fluid is preventive maintenance. I'm sure its a good idea to do this after I'm done with my other task (replacing suspension components), right?

I hope new clean fluid doesn't mean new fluid spewing near the timing belt area, lol

There's an old saying, that when replacing fluid, it makes it more susceptible for leaks to start spewing.

I replace mine annually because it seems like I either do an engine pull or core support removal annually for some audi reason or another

Just leave a clamp slightly loose on the power steering cooler return line and your system will bleed itself over time, particularly in the winter, then just add fluid every few weeks
