Hey guys, my 2010 S6 wont start. I tried hard wiring my radar detector and when I tried starting the car after installation the car cranked but didnt start. I disconnected the radar detector and tried again and it cranked. I tried again and the car stopped cranking. Hooked my VAG-COM Cable up to it and got these codes:

I checked all of the fuses, disconnected the battery, the ecu ETC but I am willing to go through the whole process again if anyone has any suggestions that will helo. The car has never had any starting issues before and the code will not clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Go pic yourself up a battery. 11.3 volts isn't gonna start a V10

Will I have to get it towed to the dealership to have it coded?

Got a battery from the Audi Dealership installed it. Still getting the same no communication codes with no ECU communication. Battery volatge is still the same. Tried going in to the battery regulation to code the new battery but cant get in because theres no ECU communication. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I know you have most likely accomplished this, but I'll mention anyway because your situation sucks:: have you rebooted your pc running the vag-com? I've run into a similar issue where I could not communicate with some or all modules on car and a reboot fixed it. Otherwise, I wish you luck on this one.

Voltage has almost nothing to do with cranking ability on any starter on an automobile, in the way you are implying. It's a 12v system and a 12v battery. AMPERAGE available from the battery is what would be of concern with regard to 'starting a V10.' That being said, if the voltage is out of spec, who knows what the modules will or won't do. 11.4v is most likely just fine.

Your battery voltage is fine, and it was also fine on the old battery.
What specifically were you 'hard wiring' the radar detector to? Give us a detailed description of how you did this and from where you were getting power.

Interesting, when I took my ASE Cert. the question was correct starting voltage. Answer was 12.2 this "customer" has 11.6
I as well have an S6, and it takes lots of juice.

Now that battery is new and correct, lets start looking into fuses. Seeing the car was running before the radar.
    -Check All Fuses
-If installed am "add-a-fuse" you possibly have disabled a system by adding the radar to it.

Some forewarning before your frustration on this runs high. There are 2 ECU's. 1 for each cylinder head. Chances of you popping 2 ecus are slim to none on a radar install, not enough amps to blow those fuses.

-My bet is on improper installation of the radar and grounding out an active system. (No offense and no disrespect intended.)
