I have a 2016 s3 and plan on doing some logging with my JB1. This is all new to me so plz help. Is there any chance I can run the cable through the firewall in a existing hole that accessible?

If you look near the brake pedal on the left behind the carpet there is a rubber grommet (its for the manual clutch pedal I assume), you can get a longer USB cable to run through that - cut a slit in the grommet and push the cable through. Then you can have the male USB end placed wherever you like (mine is in the fuse box area).

I removed the battery, the rubber grommet is behind it, on the lower firewall. Made a half inch cut with Olfa knife, then inserted a screwdriver through the hall and easily located it inside the cabin and routed the cable through.
