    Huper Optik Heat Rejection Tints

Found this useful in deciding which Huper Optik tint to install. I asked the Tint Smith in Atlanta to apply the samples so I could make an informed decision. All installers should do this.

I've decided to go with the Sech. Ceramic 70 is too blue. Sech and Ceramic 50 are very close but the C50 also gives off a blue hue
Sech is the most natural looking of the three to me and offers the best heat rejection. it's also the most expensive by $200 🙁

If you are looking for heat rejection, you might want to look at the 3M Crystalline. I believe it is better than the Huper Optik. I've had the Huper Optik installed for the last 4 or so years with no complaints. But, if I were to do it today, I'd want to compare the 3M the Huper and see the difference in heat and the looks.

Most expensive BY $200?? What are you paying for tint?
I can get all of those for max $200 installed on all windows (excluding windshield)... I thought gone were the days of tint shops charging 500+ for tint.

Anyone use the 3M cr70? I'm not huge on tinted windows but wouldn't mind some heat rejection that only slightly tints the glass.

Who has ceramic on front windshield? I hear heat rejection is much better but concerned about toll pass, and valentine 1 issues. Also, an installer told be there is a greater risk of glass breakage for the front windshield but that made no sense. These things get hot in the summer so sounded like they didn't know much.

I have CR70 on my windshield and CR50 all-around + sunroof. You can't even tell that the CR70 is there. Heat rejection is great! You'll know after driving your car for awhile and then jump into someone else's car or a rental, then you'll appreciate how well the 3M Crystalline is working. Plus, my AC is on a much lower setting from before.

$200 is normal for non-ceramic tint. All shops I've been to (including where I got mine) had ceramic tint (all 5 windows) for about $400.

I had Air80 put on windshields and sunroofs of all of my cars and it makes a big difference in the TX sun! Definitely recommend considering windshield film.

You have pics? I have CR50 all around and want to do CR70 on the windshield but worry it might be a little dark

Here you go. CR70 is light enough where no one can tell there is tint on the windshield. There is also CR90 for virtually clear, but doesn't block as much heat as CR70. When I was shopping around, all of the local installers said 90% of their clients go with CR70 and some don't even carry CR90 anymore. It won't be too dark, go for it!

Never heard of Rayno but looked it up and the IR rejection is only 56% at 50% VLT.

Huper Optik Sech is 83% at 60% VLT. Not really comparable.

That looks really good. What tint and percentage did you go with the rest of the car?

Thanks! I went with CR50 all-around since I didn't want them too dark. Here are the side-view and rear-view.

Not sure if Air80 is ceramic but no issue with 9500ix.

That's for the S5. The S9 that I posted about has 92% IR rejection at 50% VLT. Not only comparable to Huper Optik Sech - but better.

The Sech looks good though, good luck!
