    Bumper marker lights

So I hated the orange bumper marker lights, and decided to swap them out for clear. I then swappen in some clear bulbs to replace the orange bulbs, but the light temperature is obviously way off from the HID headlights. I've found a couple of cool white bulbs, and so far have tried the Sylvania SilverStars, and they are better, but only very slightly. I also saw some PIAAs that are supposed to be 4000k, but they are dark blue off, and will easily be viewable in the housing.

So my question is, does anyone, and can you, run LEDs in the bumper marker lights? That would solve m color temp issue, and give me a bulb that isn't bright blue when off. Just not sure if the lower power draw will cause issues.

168 5000k LED These might be a bit too long but you need something like that. Make sure you get 5000k temperature so they will match nicely with your HID's. They are pure white, no yellow, and no blue color to it.

So running an LED which may draw as little as 0.5 watts won't cause any issues?

Well, to the answer to the question of whether or not running an LED would cause problems...it does (at least for this one). The bulb blinks rapidly and I get the bulb warning. I figured that would be the case.

So my next question is, if I decide to stick with the LED bulbs, will this solve the issue?

It doesn't mention whether its a 20 watt or 50 watt load resister. However on the Q&A tab is says its 6 ohms so i think you should be fine.

Ended up going with these. They match pretty well, and didn't require any modification. They are slightly visible when off (as they are blue), but not too bad.
