    Warm Idle Multiple Misfire

Hi all, I'm having some misfire issues on my B7. More specifically, multiple misfires when the engine is warm. The engine runs perfectly when cold. It started about 3 months ago, I was having issues with a cylinder 7 misfire. I replaced the coil and all 8 plugs, that seemed to drastically reduce the problem. I would get a cylinder 7 misfire once in a while since then, about once every other week or so. I should note that this would only happen when the engine was warm and idling. Sitting at a stop light at a freeway off ramp would usually do the trick 9 times out of 10. A quick blip of the throttle would clear up the misfire and the car would run fine after. I was leaning towards a dying fuel injector as the cause. However, the other day the problem became much worse. It was an exceptionally hot day (about 35°c) and the car was misfiring badly; shaking, sputtering, rattling, the whole bit. When I got home I scanned the codes and found that I had a misfire on cylinders 5, 6, and 7. Here's where things could get interesting, I had the engine replaced about 6 months ago. The donor engine had the chain, guides, and tensioners replaced about 10,000kms before I bought it. Thus leading me to think that it would be unlikely for the timing chain to be the culprit, but I'm not ruling it out. Any ideas?

hrm, just misfire DTCs, nothing else? does it smoke after you get misfires?

if there are problems on just one cylinder bank i would suspect the coil harness or the O2 sensors on that side. however, i would be hesitant about the O2 sensors if you're not showing any faults/DTCs for them, even pending ones. (because it's just one bank, it's probably not any obvious problems with the fuel supply, airflow, or alternator.)
