A bunch of these already but I thought I'd take my turn.

    Here's my 2016 S6:

    Daytona Gray Pearl Effect
    Prestige
    Sport Package
    Black Optics
    Drivers Assistance
    Comfort seating
    Night Vision
    Cold Weather
    Black Headliner
    Delete front plate

    Came from a 2008 B7 S4 w manual
New car has all the options I wanted, plus a few I didn't, but dealer found the car while it was on the boat and did a trade with that originally ordered it.

I had dealership lower it using air suspension. Not sure how low they got it but it looks good to my eye. It took them hours, or they said it did. I'm not sure why it was so hard for them, service guys seemed spot on. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay for it. I felt good with the price and overall experience.

I also got clear bra placed on the entire front end, hood, side mirrors and a few other places. Also had opticoat applied to the wheels.

Will get vag.com cable soon, I also plan to mod, eventually. Probably starting with bolt on stuff like sway bars and alu kreuz. Eventually will do ECU / TCU but want to make sure the car isn't a lemon, and let the whole TD1 detection drama progress a bit longer....

I have already learned a lot from you guys on this forum, I look forward to contributing a bit too! Any feedback is always welcome!

She is an absolute beauty! Congrats on the new purchase! I like your current ride height as well, but keep in mind that you should be able to go lower with the H&R lowering module should you change your mind down the road.

    Nice, looks good!

cold weather pkg gets rid of the flat bottom - was the cold weather a deal breaker? the cooled seats are great though!

TD1 detection drama has progressed as much as it can - least far as i'm concerned.

Very nice. Agree with Serpent - TD1 is pretty much developed. You pretty much stand a good chance of getting caught seems to be the consensus. Flashing back to stock may or may not work. If I'm tuning a car these days, I accept I'm rolling the dice.

One of my nitpicks with Audi - put the damn heated rear seats in the car as standard. That's the only reason I'd really have to get the cold weather package. The heated steering wheel is about as warm as a fart, so it's not like that's the primary reason for getting it. I've got 2 kids riding in the rear and when it's cold, it gives them the option to warm the seats. True nickle and diming to make heated rear seats a fricking option.

Gorgeous, love those wheels on the A6/S6 bodies!!! Sexiest wheel that Audi makes stock IMO, at least on the S6/S7/RS7. The newest S8 wheels are absolutely superb:

Thanks, this brings up a question that I want to clarify. IMO biggest downside of black optics package is the smaller wheels compared to non-black optics. I plan to get another set of wheels and winter tires, since the snow flies in South Dakota! Not sure what wheels to get at this point. I also plan to replace the stock P zero's with Michelin PSS once the P Zero's go off. So new wheels may be paired with the winter tires, or the new summer tires, not sure at this point. So my question is, will I have to go into vag.com to adjust ride height every time I swap summer shoes with winter shoes if the outer diameter of each wheel / tire set up isn't identical?

Cold weather is a plus for me since it get's chilly up here. I've never had a car with a heated steering wheel so that is kinda cool. On a regular basis I have a couple of adults in back seat so I thought it would be a good idea. Plus, I'm not positive but is the rear seat pass thru available on non-cold weather pack? It prob is, but I needed it to pass skis through, in a ski bag of course since boot isn't an option any more :(. Flat bottom wheel is kinda neat, but no big deal IMO.

Even if you bump up your wheel size, your outer diameter of your tire should be close to identical, as you would run a different series tire (example: 245/40/18 and 255/35/19 are only .25" apart in height). As long as your offset is correct, you shouldn't have an issue IIRC.

This is what I am leaning towards. Now just gotta pick wheels for the Michelin PSS. Had Nokians for my S4 which I love. Actually still have them, and they're for sale, since they're too small for our S6's

I stand corrected. The car doesn't have night vision assistant! Man what a dope I am. I recall speaking with SA early on in the process about them grabbing the car in a dealer trade, that's already been configured. I thought he said the car had night vision but in fact he said driver's assistance. Originally, I wanted neither option. But in hind sight I am glad I got driver's assistance package. In my defense this conversation took place months ago!

I assume that includes adaptive cruise control. Don't let the words cruise control fool you, I never use that even when driving other vehicles, but ACC is a thing of beauty even for normal drives/traffic/whatever.

I have R2s on my STi and really like them for their ice traction and braking abilities but they're just soooo soft. I'm thinking about trying something new with the S6 I've never been a Blizzak fan but thought the set we put on my wife's '16 XC90 were fantastic. I've run Dunlops in the past and really liked them. Sticking to the OEM 255/35R20, the options are limited.

Well said!! ACC is a an amazing and massively useful feature (once you gain confidence in it, can be a bit scary until then). It makes you realize how scary the traditional CC tech really is, particularly without collisions sensing/auto braking.

@TD_05 beautiful car sir! Enjoy it in good spirits. Sweet decision to get a loaded car. Every tech thingy is amazing. I had a question for you though- I could not understand what yoy meant by the downside of the black optics package being smaller wheels compared to the non black optics cars? Afaik wheels are the same size on the S6 regardless of b/o package.

I misspoke. AGAIN. Sorry, I thought the Black Optic Wheels were an inch smaller diameter compared to the standard wheels that come on cars without the black optics package. Sorry for the confusion

Thank you for awesome shots :) Could you make few more interior shots, preferably close-ups on those amazing black inserts with white stripes? Those are pretty rare, since most often we see aluminium or CF inserts on most cars.
