    Rear Coilover Not Adjusting?

    Hey all,

I'm about 3/4 of the way through installing ST coilovers on my A4. The fronts are close to completion, I am just preparing to torque to spec and put on the wheels.

One rear is done - torqued, wheel attached, everything. One rear has not been touched yet (still stock spring/strut).

When I lowered the rear side I had completed off the jack stands yesterday, the car's ride height on that side did not change from stock measurements at all... The rear coilover perch had been set two or three threads from the top so I was expecting some significant change. The ride height remained completely as it had been stock.

I'm pretty confused here. I thought installation on the rears was a piece of cake so i found it hard to believe I messed up installation.

I installed the ST shock, mounted the ST spring between the adjustment perch and lower spring pad, and fit it all into place. Could the ride height be unchanged because my fronts are still jacked off the ground and my other rear has not yet been swapped out?

I'd appreciate any advice you guys got. Hopefully, it is a newbie mistake on my end and ST didn't ship me coilovers that don't fit or something...

I am new at this but I just this the coil over on the SoloWerk setup. it might be similar. as far as i noting, when I installed the rear spring and struts on one side while the other still stocked, with the car off the jack, the height wont change until I did both rear side.
one lesson learn is that adjust the spring perch (increase the height) as much as you can before you let it off the stand/jack otherwise the wheel will push up against your wheel well lining mess up the lining.

I am done with all the spring, struts of the car with all new suspension arms. the steering is stiff and I am searching for any write up on this matter.
