air coming from Regulator Valve (pan cake valve) when shutting off car is it normal

We just purchased a 2006 for my son. We started working on the issues this weekend. idle jumping when in park. Fixed that bad maf sensor. But noticed that when shutting down the car on the regulator valve air vents though small pin hole on the valve is this normal?

found the answer. its venting because of to much pressure in the engine. Swapped it out with newest version and no issues. Jeez you would think the b7 forum would know this.

Classic failed PCV. Now you know what it sounds like so when it fails again.... Which it will.

helps if you use the terms we all know too .. if you had said PCV ( which is a term used sine the 70s ) , we could have helped you out .. im not sure anybody knows what the hell a "regulator valve " is.

oh PCV ? that's a common problem . torn diaphragm .. swap it out ... after market ones seem to be junk so try and swing an Audi part on that :)

Yeah I deserved that. Did swap it out. Problem resolved and car running normal now.
