Going to wrap my chrome window trim as I'm switching up from peelers to a darker wheel. What looks best....matte or gloss wrap window trim? Anybody got pics? My car is Black.

I've done mine both matte and gloss, and I'll be honest, I don't even know what mine is right now. I think it's gloss black.

OEM black optics is gloss, so that gets my vote.

Gloss black vinyl for sure. Matches the paint better.
    Matte is just too dull.

Not a side view. But satin matches the seals around the doors.

Exactly why I did matte. I felt gloss was an odd mix with the door seals. It's also a two person job, if you are going to attempt it yourself. If the other person has vinyl experience, it will help out a lot! It took me about a day, to do both sides with help.

Gloss, just make sure you get it done by someone good. I have to heat mine up and trim it a little with an Xacto knife because you could see it sticking up...not good.

Oh nice! I have a similar color deep sea blue Pearl S5 I'm looking to get the window trim done in gloss. There's a shop about about 40 mins from me that gave me a rough estimate of $200 over the phone. Seemed about right $100 a side with labor.

Anyone done an autodip or plastidip DIY?

Looking at videos it looks pretty straight forward and cost is about 20$...

Autodip has a black gloss and in their videos it looks pretty good...

I tried dip. Its really difficult because you have to do it with the doors open. The rubber gasket on the door rests on the chrome trim

Hmm. The videos I saw did with the doors closed...

I'll definitely look into the rubber part before I try anything.

We're you able to do it? And if so, how did it look? On the other hand, if you didn't like it and removed it, how much of a pain in the butt was that?

I was able to do it but didnt like how it came off so removed it. not being able to fully cover all the chrome bothered me. removal was easy, it comes right off. thinking of just wrapping the side trim. The emblems and grill came out good.
