The wife has been driving my car more than hers and says she likes it better. So....
1999 bmw touring wagon. 165K. 3.0l auto.Gold on tan leather. Runs and drives amazing. We have had it for 6 months or so and are the 3rd owners. The first owner had the car the bulk of its days and although I received no maintenance records it has obviously been meticulously done. Suspension is tight and the bushings look newish yet. I did the valve cover as it was leaking a bit. When in there i saw no signs the vanos was seaping oil and this car uses no oil. Engine pulls as it should with good power. No leaks of any sort. Trans shifts firm and no slipping. From what I have gathered this car has the good transmission and not the weaker of the two that was a plague on some of the bmws. The interior shows typocal wear if not a bit better than most. The plastic piece on the side of the drivers seat that has the power switches is busted an hanging. Seat power works as it should but something I have wanted to fix and haven't. The drivers door pull just gave up the ghost as well. Everything works from seat heat, sunroof, all window switches, and cruise. Radio is the stock business class unit with tape and cd changer. Changer was missing upon purchase and I noticed that the radio did work. Someome pulled the fm anttanna amplifier for some reason. I bought gta car kit for it and iy was all plig and play. Typical german radio with no bass but it works.
Exterior has a few dings and dents. Solid with very minimal rust with a spot on the trunk by latch and a rock chip that has evolved. Minimal! Nothing underneath. Cleans up nice and the absolute best driving/riding car I have ever owned. averages 27Mpg.
Will trade for a equally well sorted b5. I am partial to avants, but momma says no matter a sedan works. Prefer it be a manual trans but not a deal breaker if a tip car. Thx for looking. Located in nw indiana about an hour and half south of chitown. I am gonna see how i can upload pics as i am on my phone so bear with me.
