Questions about automatic trans metal piping

So the other day, i posted about a rock that destroyed my oil pan, well as it turns out that bad boy also put a nice size dent in my tranny pan. No fluid is leaking from the pan, however there is a line that sits in front of the pan that is basically now crimped. Does anyone know what this line does, how easy to replace etc? i am going to try to straighten it back out a bit, but i think flow will still be reduced somewhat. Can anyone tell me what this tube does and how important it is.....replacing looks like a royal PITA. thanks for any help you can give.

It is that line just before the dented tranny pan in the background behind the sway bar, any help identifying what it does will be greatly appreciated...

I'm pretty sure that is the trans fluid line that eventually goes to the front of the car into the trans oil cooler. I would imagine it is after the trans has "used it" so it should not affect trans performance due to pressure/flow but if you aren't cooling the fluid down then you might have issues. You can log trans fluid temps with VCDS if you are concerned. Or just have that section repaired(cut it out and put a hose over with clamps).
