S5 cab - what mod to do next...?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Getting the itch to improve the handling of the car but can't decide if I should add some KW HAS Springs or an 034 rear arb first. I was thinking that I shouldn't lower the car anymore (or very little if any) since the car already has a bunch of scrapes under the front bumper. Thoughts?

My vote is go with "more low" and have heard good things about the KW HAS. If staying at stock height then go for 034 rear arb.

We'll it took me a year to finally get it all done. Lowered the car on KW HAS and added the 034 sway bar and end links.

Looking forward to trying it out on some canyon runs this week.

Thanks guys! Appreciate all your help MOPS with sourcing the parts and the guys at SUPREMEPOWER did a great job on the install. I'm thinking the rears need to be dropped another 1/4". What do you think?

Definitely worth having a cab in SoCal. I drive around with the top down the majority of the time.

Of course sir! I like the drop a lot, but I can see most wanting it a bit more flat. 20 minute fix.

Yea, if it were mine, I'd have a 5mm front and 8mm rear, and a silver 380mm GT kit.

I agree with you both on the ET. I have 12mm spacers on the rears already. Should I try 20mm? Maybe try the 12mm to the fronts to see how they look/fit.

BBK is on the list - cost is the issue - waiting until they need replacing and keeping a eye out for some good used ones. GT kit would be my dream kit but out of reach unless I find an amazing deal.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

I like the positive rake too and want to keep it. The springs settled to about 1" difference between front and rear height. I was thinking of getting it to 0.5-0.75"

I'm heading to SUPREMEPOWER on Tuesday so we'll see how it all works out - might have to add the spacers then also.

Sweet looking! I have the same exact car, but 100% stock, I'm resisting the urge to do anything but these pictures are making it hard.

Thanks! I'm happy I did it. If I had to do it all over again, I'd start with lowering springs, the rear sway bar / end links, and new rims (or add wheel spacers if you want to keep the OEM rims).

You have 12mm at the rear now? Damn! You could try 15mm, but no more. What's up front?

Nothing up front yet. Yes, 12mm already in the rears...probably just keep it then. Here's some pics.
