    275/30/19 vs 285/30/19

Anyone running wider tires? I know there are many factors for fitment, but wanted to see some pics of wheel/tire setups, and people running 285/30/19's?

I need to upgrade my tires from 265/30/19 to 275/30/19, since it just doesn't look right if I don't slam my car and not planning on doing that. Widen the fender gap, and just seems "off". I'm hoping that the 275/30/19 will fill in the fender gap a bit better.. Wheels are 19x10.5 +22, yes pretty aggressive.

Checked the tire calculator website, still hard to visualize. any help will be appreciated.

    Here's a comparison from 255/35/19 stock size to 265/30/19:

the fender gap is killing me right now.

    275/30/19 vs 285/30/19

You should be plenty fine with a 275/30 on a 10.5". That tires sidewall on a 10.5" is actually shorter than how a 255/35 sits on the oem 9" wide wheel. A 285/30 also sits a hair shorter comparatively.
I'm planning on running the same width wheels with similar offsets. I am going to test fit a 295/30 hopefully on Friday to see if I can squeeze it. If not I think I'm going to try and fit a 285/35.
How dose the car ride on the 265/30s? I can imagine it being pretty rough?

Just installed 275/30/19 Yokohama S-drives. They are much much wider than the Nitto's, which they seem to run more on the narrow side. On a 10.5, there is not much stretch at all with the Yoko's 275's. Its crazy how tire brands can be that different.

As far as ride goes, not much difference in the two, perhaps the NItto's felt more "softer".

I'm 25.25 FTG F/R, I rubbed once today on a hard enter to a freeway onramp corner (25mph corner, going about 45~50mph). I was rubbing slightly on OEM tire/wheel spec with 10mm spacers up front so I'm not surprised. Rolling the fenders deff helped, and I would highly recommend if you are going 285's and lowered similarly to mine.

Coil-overs are actually going in tomorrow so I am going to play around and see where I want her to sit. I actually rolled my front fenders preemptively but thanks for the heads up. Have any pictures on the 275s?

not yet, need to get better pics. Should get plenty at the car show this weekend. With 265's, the fender gap that was created looked horrible, and the car needed to go lower which I didn't want to do with my front lip. with 25.25 FTG and increased tire wall size with 275's, the fender gap filled more, and Yokohama's seem to run way wider than Nitto's. With different tire brand in mind, 285's with my ride height and fenders rolled, I would say you will have a high chance of rubbing on hard corners and bumps, if your coils/spring setup isn't very stiff.

One other thing is be careful with offsets and wheels, even with +22 on mine, it barely clears the big ass calipers in the front (~1mm clearance). Its very dependent on spoke design.

mine runs with mtm rims with 285/30/19 got little rubbed while heavy jump and u-turn, but overall high speed or sharp curves are really enjoyable and controlable.
