    Red alarm LED without anti-theft

    Hi,
just a quick question, I just got my A6 C6 2007 and I do have the anti-theft LED in the drivers door, which starts blinking as soon as I lock the car.
It's an european model. After locking the car, there is no honk or beep, just turn signals flash. I was searching for some mention of the anti-theft in the VCDS,
but I don't know what to look for, anyway I wasn't able to set it off.
Is it possible to have this LED even without anti-theft? just to scare off the potentional theif?
Is there a way how to check the anti-theft in VCDS or any signs that it's present?
    Thanks.

If the lights flashed, and the LED is lit, it is armed.

Either the speaker is busted or someone programmed it to not chirp on arm through VCDS.

You have anti theft in the car, just not in the fashion you may be familiar with.
You just may not have the alarm horn installed as it was an option. The beep can be programmed via VAGCOM.

Thank you guys for the replies.
So I was poking around in the VCDS a bit more, and checked the Central Conv. unit and I found it, that it actually doesn't have anti-theft.
As you can see here, none of the sensors is present and also Last alarm trigger shows 255:

Then I tried Output tests, and found that that this LED is just "Warning light for central locking"

That makes me sad :( I guess retrofitting the alarm will be pretty difficult.

This should enable it on pre-facelift, so if you want to disable it, just subtract 2048 from your original code.

    1. Confirmation on Lock
    [Select]
    [46 - Central Conv]
    [Coding - 07]
    +2048 to your existing coding (example - original code is 0008443 + 2048 = 0010491)
    [Do it!]
I see you have post-facelift in your signature, so try the above, and if it doesn't help, this should do it on post-facelift:

Anti-Theft-System: Horn Confirmation active in 46 Central Conv., Long Coding, Byte 01, Bit 2.
