Question How to remove trim piece in order to replace shifter boot?

    Hello all!
I am looking to replace my shifter knob and boot, but am unsure of how to go about replacing the boot. My question is, do I need to remove the trim piece A or B as in the attached photo? If I have to remove B, how do I go about getting that piece out?

    Thanks in advance!

Part B /pull up. Shift knob unscrews. Hopefully your tabs don't break mine did.

You need to take both off. There are a few tabs on that metal trim. Bend slowly!!!!
