You'll have to ask Tony. I haven't used it. It's uploaded to the tablet. I just bought it from him a few weeks ago.

You might want to contact Tony yourself so he doesn't get flooded with requests.

Anyway, assuming there is no $250 transfer fee I am interested.

I just sent him a PM asking. I'm assuming there wouldn't be a fee as the tunes haven't even been used. I'll post his reply.

You could always sell the EPL pulley and belt.

Have the shop buy the APR/CTS pulley and have them install that.

    Then tune the car yourself.

New EPL Stage 2, DSG Tune, Tablet, cable, pulley and belt

What's the advantage to buying both the cable and tablet? Seems like of repetitive unless one is needed to operate the other
That's a great deal though if the $250 license switch isn't needed. sounds tempting

You need the cable and a computer to flash.

If you don't have a laptop they sell the tablet($150) that can be used.

^ If you have a windows tablet or computer of your own you could use it. Can't load anything on the car without an internet connection and cable. EPL was selling them as a package at one time I believe.

Gotcha. Couldn't you have just borrowed someone's laptop momentarily to connect the cable and flash the tune? Is the tablet a one-time use kinda thing

^ You need the software to do it but one of the points was to be able to have an internet connection anywhere and be able to flash. Check out some of epl's threads. Tons of questions and answers.

Yes you can use any windows PC with a internet connection.

The tablet runs windows, it can be used for anything.

The tablet has the software which I brought directly from EPL. The cable allows you to tune the car from home. I picked a dedicated tablet because on my personal one, I use it so often I'm always replacing it.

Understood thanks guys for clarifying. I thought the software that needs to be installed is like a specific to 1 person kinda thing that designates to only one device

Not by my understanding. I know the cable/software can be used with multiple cars.

I believe the cable reports the VIN or some other identifying information back to the computer. The computer then uses that to connect to EPL's server to check for tunes.

I brought my pulley and belt to the nearest apr dealer they charged me 4 hours of labor ($440) for installing and did it in less than 3 hours. I didn't have any other choices though.

I have a APR Stage I. So all I would have to pay for is the pulley and install. The Stage II tune is free. But, I was/am impressed with EPL and the ability to do the tune from home, especially considering that the APR shop won't let me bring anything in.

Either way, in the future, I may jump back in and do this. But my time now is better spent with my family and my businesses.

You realize that going stage 2 isn't like hiking the Appalachian trail right? It's a completely different vehicle stage 2.

What kind of gains does the stage 2 tune and pulley refer to? How much more WHP am I expecting with just a roc euro intake. And if I get an exhaust down the road will there be more of an increase? Would I need to
Have EPL re calibrate the tune for the exhaust?

^ Are you living under a rock, lol. There are tons of threads on tunes from all vendors on here for you to read. The info has been put out there over and over. No you don't need anything special for an exhaust.

For real, you want him to give you all the hp numbers for all different mods? Cause he just has them right?

My question was not directed to him so no, I do not want him to give me all the numbers for all the mods.

I do appreciate the info though, and I have read through threads about the tune and numbers. I was just curious if anyone reading at that moment who is running the tune might quickly and briefly chime in with reference to what's out their in text and their personal actual findings.

    Didn't mean to enrage anyone
