My 2016 Monsoon Gray S3 with Black Optic Package came home a couple of Saturdays ago and I couldn't be happier.

Over the course of each modification, I will periodically update this thread.

Feels good to be back in my second Audi.

    The old 8P A3 TDi.

Drove a mile off the lot and my OCD kicked in. I had to remove that front plate bracket.

    Much better!

Took a day off to get some things done.

Paying the good fellas of Emmanuele Design in Anaheim, CA a visit to install their linear springs to tie up the mag ride with a respectable ride height.

Pics to come shortly once it's lowered. Meanwhile, enjoy their beautiful project car with all of the choice carbon fiber bits that I feel are tastefully placed. Also, lowered on their linear springs.

Welcome back! Monsoon Gray and Glacier White are my two favorite colors. What performance mods are you planning?

    Thank you.

Researching reliable tunes and adding rear sway bar are the immediate plans.

CF exterior bits as I finish building the car in my head.

Front lip that ED is coming out with in a few months(?). They're test fitting it right now as far as I know. It's looking good.

Seeing it first hand, I am sold! It fits perfectly and flows with the contours of our cars perfectly.

It looks very similar to the far east one. Hoping it is less money.

I would also just love it in ABS only and not carbon...all carbon does is split.

Yeah, it's based off the Far East one iirc. Hopefully it'll be somewhere in the neighborhood of the diffuser? Maybe a bit more? Somewhere around there wouldn't be bad at all.

She's home. Sits awesome and will settle a tad more with a few more miles put down.

I am 100% satisfied by the quality and craftsmanship of these springs. Thomas from Emmanuele Design also aligned it and has this thing riding/driving flawlessly with zero clunks or noise. Prior to aligning, he also put on my 10mm front and 17mm rear spacers to give the car a more aggressive planting.

I'm a stickler for comfort and performance and this linear spring setup nails it!

Many thanks to Emmanuele Design for the hospitality while my son and I were there today and for taking care of our S3.

Pics before the springs settle. Will take more in a couple weeks after it settles some.

Seeing this makes me regret not finding a monsoon gray. The S3 is looking clean.

In my opinion 18's get lost in our fender wells unless you're really low. I want to drive this car properly without worrying about scraping things up.

i see you got the car from hoehn audi in carlsbad. that's where i got mine too. If i could go back in time i would have bought it from Escondido. the service department at hoehn audi sucks. they scuffed my car and left indentations on the underneath of my rocker panel when putting it on the lift/jacking it up. don't trust them anymore- going to escondido from now on...

I've been dealing with Carlsbad since 2010. I haven't had any problems. Hopefully they have addressed the employee(s) that mistreated your vehicle. Who was your saleslady? You can take your car into any dealership too.

That was a bad angle. It lines up perfectly with the fender well. I'm sure they will post something when they release it.

Shot from today at work. All settled and sitting right. Aftermarket wheels were on for demo shoots. Back to the Black Optic wheels.

The black optics wheels remind me of the new gt3 wheels, minus the concave. They look good!

Agreed. I'm definitely a fan of the wheel. It's one of the determining factors in the overall package I chose.

Rear spring pads were put in and car is sitting on 10mm front/17mm rear wheel spacers.

How tight was the fitment with a 19x9.5 et45? Were spacers 100% necessary?

No spacers necessary at all on the 19x9.5 ET45 (front or back). Zero rubbing on full lock/load. People are running either a 235/35/19 (slightly stretched) to a 245/35/19 tire on this setup with no issues.

I'm back to the OEM wheels per the last picture a few posts up.
