    Options for water pump?

Hello, so I'm replacing a bunch of stuff on my b6 s4, the water pump being one of them. I ordered one off of ecs on Sunday last week, it's oem and cost me about 407 bucks

Anyhow I needed it by Saturday so I could finish my car this weekend and the order keeps getting pushed back. Autozone has a duralast water pump for 130 bucks and I could pick it up tomorrow. I am wondering if going with the autozone pump is a bad choice and I should wait it out for the ecs pump, or if the duralast pump would be just as good of a choice. Here's the link for the duralast pump...

Any insight would be helpful, thanks!

Relax, man. It's only been two hours since you posted. This place doesn't exactly have population of reddit.

Just so you know, the part you linked is only the pump, not the full thermostat/pump housing. You're going to have to tear your pump/thermostat apart and rebuild it if you go that route, which means you're also going to need the gaskets. They're not expensive, but it's another part you'll need. Look on ebay or the classifieds here. I just bought the full pump/thermostat used for $220.

Contact a local Import parts place or a place that has access to WorldPac.

Which one? The duralast? The ecs one is the full thing right? The pump and thermostat?

Yes, the ECS is the full unit. You can find used ones for about 1/2 of that. Mine was working fine, but the only reason why I replaced it is because it cracked.
