Front Filler Plate for 2017 A4

Hey All,

I picked up a new 2017 Audi A4 P+ a couple days ago. Although my state requires front license plates...I can't stand the look of it. I took off the front plate bracket and found out that there is a small piece missing. I went back to the dealer to see if they have them...and most of them didn't know what that part was. The dealer will charge me a fortune im sure. Ps. The wheels are ugly, they are being replaced when I can find new tires.

They did say in Canada, these bumpers come with the filler plate.

I'm trying to see if there is anywhere to get these parts, since the car is very new. Any info would be appreciated.

I called the parts department at my local dealer. They don't keep them in stock and have to be ordered from Germany. They told me it was ~$150. I haven't found a 3rd party site selling the part yet. Probably too new.

$150 seems a bit sketchy - I ordered my car with the 'plateless grill' option but it arrived with the license plate holder attached anyways. Parts told me the filler plate was $80. Asked my sales guy if he could manage to knock some money off of that price, said he would see what he could do; later that night I got an email that he just bought it for me. Score!

Yea do a quick Google search for the part number. I found it for under $20

I HATE the wheels that come on the new a4 also, if I were to get it i would change.....first mod.

Hate front plates also, you are suppose to have one in my state...........depends on the cop you come across.......most don't care.

They are coming off soon! Waiting on tires for my other wheels. They are hard to look at for now. I go to italy in 3 weeks, probably wont have them on before then...

I didn't have to do any fabrication/altering on my part to get it to pop into the grill. That's the bag it came in so guessing it's the original packaging, unless there's a slightly different code between Canada and USA.

Wondering if sales reps are doing the 'it costs X but I'll buy it for you' as a marketing since we've got three very varied prices listed here.

Hey I just called my Audi dealer and they said the exact same thing, that this part does not match my VIN. I may try to order ir it anyway, like 25-30 usd here in Mexico, worth the risk.

Ive called 3 local dealers...all gave me different prices. $32, $44, $62...How is that possible?? I'm going to try and get my sales lady to buy it...she probably wont though cause I negotiated pretty hard.

Same here, tks for the info but it was $18 the part and $40 shipment. I went to de dealership yesterday and ordered for less than $30, it should be her in a few days.

Yea, I didn't check shipping but you could always print it out and bring it to your dealer, try and get them to match the price.

Is that a tow hook license plate holder? Where did you get it from and does it block the front parking sensors?
