Difference between old and updated Pressure Control Valves

Looking to buy a new PCV valve but then I realized that there was an updated version produced around December of 2005. Does anyone know what the difference is? The updated one I guess also needs an updated breather pipe. Is there anyway to tell if I am replacing the old PCV version or the updated one? Thanks

Also it's Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve.

If it was the way you said it was you would be saying Pressure control valve valve. Lol.
