So im replacing a power steering pump on an 01 passat 1.8t. When i pulled the power steering pump i undid the bolt holding the metal elbow to the pump on the supply side. I didnt see a hose clamp so i figured that line didnt come apart and now i cant get that joint to seal. When i try to flush/bleed the system it leaks like crazy. I didnt see an o ring in there when i took it apart and all the diagrams iv found online show the elbow as part of the pump. ecs doesn't list an oring under pump hardware and my audi dealer diagrams dont show anything either. do i have to go back to the junkyard and pull another friggin pump??!?

U could try milling it down to flat so it seals or maybe build a gasket and or oring.
