So new ecu is chipped. Swapped in 5psi fpr and car runs rough. I noticed new ecu has a N on end and mine has a P on the end. Will this ecu work? Any help appreciated.

I'm wondering if it just needs to be driven a bit to reset.

hmm. idk anything about that file. i would assume it also use stock aeb injectors like the giac file.

when you say running rough, is it throwing misfire codes? you have any way to check your fuel pressure?

dont do that. you are starving the engine for fuel.

i have a strange feeling you dont have a boost gauge. if so, is it seeing requested boost?

what file were you running on the car beforehand? ran fine(y/n?) did the car sit for a while? i mean, it can be anything, but without performing any kind diagnostics, fuel pressure boost pressure codes etc, we really have nothing to go off here.

Yes I have boost gauge. Was just running stock management before. Car ran fine max boost was about 6psi. Have not driven it since I put new ecu in so not sure about current boost.

i would start with a boost leak test and scan for codes.

stupid question lol you do have a k04 right? not sure if a k04 file would run rich enough on a k03 and cause these issues

Shouldn't make any difference at idle.

I'd like to see long term fuel trims after you drive it for a bit. Keeping an eye on the instant trim to make sure it's safe to do so, of course.

PO had pretty much same set up. I have k04, exhaust, forge splitter, stock injectors, intake and 5 pound fpr. Wonder if car just needs to be drivin on for a bit to re configure. I'll have to try it and try to video symptoms.

throttle body alignment, but you need VCDS or bring it to the dealer to get it done

Yea throttle body alignment, its a simple process that takes little time to do and does wonders for a car that hasnt done its own checks, the tb can malfunction causing rough acceleration or in my most recent case stalling the car when u press the gas pedal if ur gonna do a ecu swap i recommend getting vcds to check fault codes
