Ah yes, I remember dealing with SRM. Weeks of no contact, reading my Facebook messages, but not responding. Once I get fed up with the wait, I finally received a refund.

Not sure on a phone number, but good luck OP.

My 2 cents, you're either going to get your product at Sean's will, or you can request a refund. I don't think he quite frankly cares when someone requests a refund. He's way behind in orders and extremely under staffed.
With Daz being gone, I'm very concerned about the future of Vagautowerks and SRM. Mirza is shit to work with, and Sean is too over worked. I don't see them being much a player in the B5 world a year from now. A shame what is happening without daz.

The least someone can do (that is holding YOUR money by the way), is to respond back letting you know what the hell is going on. Do you agree?

Absolutely, I'm not saying what Sean is doing is good business practice, but I'm saying that I don't think he really cares all that much. He's doing so much with Porsches right now, the B5 community probably isn't his top priority anymore.

You guys are missing the other major point. SRM isn't his day job, its his side gig. He has a couple employee's to do work for him, and he works on SRM stuff at his leisure. He just got married a couple days ago so I'd imagine he is still honeymooning.

I have been to his shop a few times when I was getting my intercoolers. I can vouch for him that he is extremely busy, and the dude works late into the night. I got lucky cause I got my intercoolers after three days, but then again his shop is right down the street. Sean is a cool guy to work with and they're definitely worth the wait.

Regardless of top priority with which ever car is making more money. The customer should be the priority especially if the customer has already paid for goods. I think it doesn't take but 2 minutes to shoot a 2 sentence email to let someone know that they haven't been forgot about. It just seems unprofessional to not respond to an email for weeks at a time, if you can't handle the business then don't take it.

Mirza and Blake are trying to honor as much they can after Daz. They are doing free of charge work. It is a mess they have to Clean up spec as many have tried to use the sad situation after Daz passed away . It can not be said the same about Sean. Realible source said that Daz quit representing SRM two weeks Before he passed away as Sean was not realible to work with - could not deliver Products he already took Money for. And we all know Daz was THE MAN of his word!! After Daz passed away word is 20k dollars Worth Products Sean was supposed to deliver just vanished.

Regardless. I ordered my intercoolers through Sean. I would hope to get a response from Sean. Especially since he was so quick to answer my emails before ordering.

    LOL, sounds familiar.
It says in the website to allow 15 business day to ship the coolers. So I'll give him a little credit to get them shipped in a reasonable period of time.

    I agree with you 100%
He is stuffed with job - so he claims
Still he can take orders and payment but has no time to respond or deliver. Why not get a secretary?
You are not the only one, there are plenty more on FB closed groups, started asking questions, and everyone payed upfront.
Fact is, he does not give a shit about B5. He is moving onto Porsche market. Much more money and way less knowledge, so he can sell his Chinasium 3000hp turbos.

For someone that lives half way around the world, you seem to have a big axe to grind with SRM.... Did he screw you or something?

All you talk about is FB groups... that place isn't a place for knowledge... it's a bunch of kids yapping about hacking up B5's so I would take what people say there that you seem to think are "reliable sources" with a grain of salt.

They certainly have big shoes to fill, but if I was a gambling man I'd be willing to bet vagautowerks won't survive the lose of daz, mirza is total shit to deal with and blake can't do it on his own. The lose of daz was unmeasurable. I've heard many stories about the money owed and money lost, it's a shame but as you know there is always 3 sides to every story.

I absolutely LOVE my SRM K24's and SRM IC's, they are grlorious, BUT, when these pop I will go a different direction. Daz was the main reason I went with this setup and without him I don't trust Sean to deliver products or service to me again. I bought my stuff almost 16 months ago and even then it still took 4-5 weeks for delivery, I assume that is only going to get worse without daz around. A shame, I like Sean but he's in above his head, he needs to break open his wallet and hire help.

That's unfortunate about your past dealings. I've spoken with Sean a few times, always talked like a straight up guy to me.

I left the FB group a few weeks after I was added long ago because it was like a kindergarten in there, so I was curious.

Can't speak on srm, but from previous endeavors with inconel, I can say it's extremely easy to get overwhelmed once word gets out about a much wanted product. He probably should outsource some of his work, or atleast only accept orders he knows he can fill within a certain time period. That's what I had to do, just label things back ordered until some of the load is taken care of, and keep record of who's next in line. My .02

I have had good conversations and interactions with Sean on the phone, and recently found out someone I know is doing some work for him on the QC side. However, Sean really needs to reorganize his business if he is to stick around in any of the markets. He has a good thing going for him, now is the make it or break it time. He does need to reinvest some of that SRM income into dedicated hired help. He is reaching a tipping point, I just hope he believes in himself strongly enough to take the often scary jump forward and go both feet into SRM. If he tries doing all of it one his own, he will burn himself out. You cannot keep burning the candle from both ends.

The Porsche guys will pay bigger bucks, but they also are often pretty quick to getting angry when things are not meeting their expectations in a timely manner (especially when you know you are paying the "porsche-tax" on everything to buy). So I hope he gets the bottle necks out of the process before things grow out of hand and he becomes overwhelmed.

He seems like a good guy from all of my interactions with him, but he needs some help when it comes to delegating work to others. He is great at what he does, so he needs to hire people who can flourish in those areas where he does not, this creates a balanced system so he can focus on the areas he enjoys and the areas he succeeds at, while trusting the rest to someone else. That is the hardest part of any small business owner, letting go of immediate control over all aspects, but in the end, if you do it, everything gets better and easier. At least that has been my experience in the past.

Unless you are extremely naive the writing is on the wall, similar to Vast or Britishturbo you have the league of uneducated jock riders or calculating profiteers scream on top of their lungs how excellent their services are and if you dont agree you are just a hater. Fact.

SRM was just the right guy at the right time to hook up with a Taiwanese turbo copy cat, nothing more or less, well I concede one point they have a Tig. The main selling point is price, the cheaper the better and R&D consists of a dyno glory run and a couple of visits to the strip with results that do not match the dyno glory run.

In the same position as the OP. Emails pre-ordering of anything were responded to almost immediately. Once my order was placed (K24s) it was 2 weeks and multiple emails after I got a response. I was then told the would be assembled at the end of that week and shipped out the following week. Another week passes with no communication. This time I called, after the 4th call and 1 voicemail he answered. I was told he was looking at my turbos and would be shipping them out that same day (last Monday) and that I would be recurring a tracking number. 5 days later, no tracking number, no turbos, more false promises with zero follow through. If you're busy, I get it but something Sean needs to realize is that his business is nothing without the customer. When the customers are ignored and told things just to hold them off temporarily, that's when they will catch on and take business somewhere else.

Well, out of the blue I received a phone call from Sean last night. We spoke for a while (he mostly listened) about changes that need to be made if plans to be successful at his business. From the sounds of it, he is just simply inundated with orders, emails and phone calls, and taking some time off didn't help. I gave him my two cents and hopefully it sinks in. He assured me that my intercoolers will ship out today and I will receive a tracking number today as well. This will be a test to see if he can hold true to his word and really make this business work. There is no excuse for lack of communication. Communication is a true attribute to a successful business. Lets hope this is a turning point.

If I recall the IC's are made-to-order which is very ineffective. Once you start making them it's better making big batches. Hopefully mine were made at the same time.

This is a make or break attribute of a small business owner. Couldn't agree more. If Sean would have put a disclaimer on the K24 page that he was 3-4 weeks out, I still would've bought them. The only difference being, my expectations of their arrival. A simple sentence goes a long ways.

I received an e-mail from Sean that he is just boxing my coolers up and dispatching them.
Yes he was a couple of hours late, but I am completely fine with that, due to the service I am getting
from him, and he was replying to all my emails almost instantly. I know that building cars and
custom parts can take time and from the customer's point of view that can be frustrating, but I think
everyone should give Sean a break. I am completely satisfied after all!

Do you believe that is happening in this thread, or just speaking in reference to past experiences with the other companies/individuals you mentioned? I haven't seen anyone get labeled a 'hater' in here for commenting on slow shipping times, if anything the mood seems to be "yeah the delays suck, but what else can you do".

Accusations without any supporting evidence or context may yield initial resistance or "hater-ism" (which makes sense, any sort of claim, good or bad without additional info doesn't often carry much weight until supported with evidence one way or another), but so far everyone seems to have the same basic understanding and empathy for eachother's frustrations with regards to slow ship times and delayed replies. I don't think anyone is under the impression Sean is forging these from scratch in house, or saying that everyone is wrong and his ship times are in fact instantaneous.

    100% correct
Advertising of K24RS6 is total BS supported by his friends shop-owners which all of them blew their K24s and swiched to some real stuff.
