    Headlight bulbs problem

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey guys.
I'm having some issues with my headlight bulb ever since yesterday I got a error code on my dash letting me know my driver side low beam is out.
The problem is if I turned the car off and on the bulb starts working again for about 2 or 3 mins then is goes off and I get the same message on my dash.
I been doing some research in a the forums and a few people says the ballats are know to go bad and cause this issue.
What do you guys think I should do?
Also what's a good place to buy the bulbs.

    I have the bi-nexon headlights.

Swap the bulbs with each-other and you know its bulb or xenon module, my guess bulb!

The same thing just happened to me two weeks ago. Left headlight didn't show any signs of failing and all of a sudden it went out, error on the dash, turn the car off and on, it would work for a couple minutes then go out again. I didn't bother to swap the bulbs, especially since my 2010 has D3S bulbs and I don't think you can separate the bulbs from the ballast on these. I bought a pair of Philips XtremeVision bulbs from hidconcept.com. There's a sale on these bulbs until May 27. They can be had for $148.99 a pair, which is a great deal compared to the price you can find at other online stores. Anyway, I watched a couple Youtube videos (search for B8 headlight replacement), have an automotive toolkit (always a good idea), and it took me about 20 minutes to get them swapped out. Didn't have to adjust the aim or anything. The new bulbs work great and are nice and bright. Problem solved.

What do you mean you can separate the bulb from the ballats? I thought it was juts plug and play kind of deal.
I just bought a osram d3s bulb online hopefully is not the ballats.

No, its plug and play, just d3 bulbs have igniter built-in, some places call this igniter as ballast. Xenon ecu/ballast/module should be this:

You dont need any extra stuff if you brought the bulb! I just explained difference between bulb and ballast. You brought bulb like this http://ledonlineworld.com/images/hid_bulb-d3s.jpg, all good!

Just some places/people calling this igniter(attached to the bulb) as ballast, thats way was said, you cant separate bulb from ballast:)
