Sorry for the lengthy entry but I can't post attachments for some reason. I replaced the MAP sensor a while back due to the same error, but it didn't change anything. What should I be looking for?

Since nobody seems to know the answer to my question (or just isn't offering a response), here's what I've done to correct the problem. I cleaned the throttle body and attempted to perform a throttle body alignment. I made sure the battery voltage was above 11.5 volts (it showed 11.93V on the measured data screen) and then attempted to perform the alignment. I got an error and was unable to perform the alignment. The car is running fine and does not idle rough. The VCDS readout showed that the error signals were intermittent so my next step is to clean the connectors on the throttle body harness. I cleared out the codes before attempting the TBA. I took the car on a long trip to Pittsburgh from Baltimore over the weekend and never got a CEL during the entire trip so I'm hoping that cleaning the throttle body fixed the problem.

Drove the car to Pittsburgh and back over the holiday weekend. The wife has been driving it since we got back home and the CEL has not returned.

I just got the same faults the other day while doing a routine VCDS scan. I did not had any warning on dash. Beside those intermittent faults I got P1577 right mount engine solenoid valve (N145) which probably might be related or not. I clean up the throttle and intake manifold last year. True I use cheap 87 gas and I do not know how much deposit I would get. I follow your same post on other site and nobody seems to gave you any input. Now is not the right time to do maintenance on it but I will post back in future if cleaning solve the problem. Can't remember if I did a TBA and I have to look to find instructions for it. Anyway, appreciate that you came back with what you did to get those codes away.
