So yesterday I had my pulley installed, flashed to Stage 2, and wow.

    Big butt dyno difference.

A local guy had the chance to compare Revo with EPL and said how much more torque EPL has down low.

I was told that Stage 2 is a torque monster with EPL, so far I'd have to agree.

I have about a 25 min drive to jujitsu in a bit, I'll be pushing it to help adaptation lol

Our plan was to rename the current thread and start a new development only thread. The current thread has 40+ pages of info. If it's ok, I'd ask that this thread be closed and let us make our changes next week! Thanks!

Signing off for the weekend ! Talk to you guys Monday!

Its interesting Ive never seen a Revo car get a decent 60ft and I think its because they just dont develop enough low end torque with their tuning method... anyway heres what im trying to work out with my EPL tune currently:

We recently did some logging on my EPL stg2 tune and saw that the car was not bleeding boost but it was being conservative on the timing. I'm going to get with Tony on Monday and see if he can add 5-6 degrees of timing to get my car running a little better

Comparing tunes, the EPL tune makes much more low/mid range torque than my Revo tune. But overall the car is a tad slower because it's not making as much power at high rpm. Hopefully adjusting the timing values will correct my issue and for reference my Revo tune went 12.6@112 with a crappy 60' and 93 octane.

From a Roll timing is pulled when shifting through gears. Max is like 15 degrees! Not sure if thats the case with all tunes though. Would be cool to see if APR does the same

We were seeing a max of 17 degrees on mine. Thats with it being adapted on an E85 blend. In comparison an apr car logged 22 degrees of timing with no bypass.

On the 93 tune thats about what I was seeing I believe. On the E85 I think I get like 20. Still room to have more.

Question for the Stage 2 E85 guys... Do any of you notice a audible difference in injector noise (ticking) on cold starts?

+1 and where are those increased launch control RPM changes. Havent heard anything in a long time and I feel that is an easy change and one that can net some good 60' times.

Seems to me my Stage 2 has gotten stronger over a few day span.

Flashed Sat, everyday it feels a little better, now its feels very strong. I'm also driving hard during adaptation time.

the higher the "effective" octane of your fuel, the more timing you can run. the reason why timing starts getting pulled when the car is running hot is to prevent premature detonation from occurring. basically, your ecu wants detonation to happen at the time the spark is ignited and no sooner. but with a combo of high IATs, low octane, and increased boost pressure, detonation may occur spontaneously and prematurely.

so all that being said, comparing max timing without additional info about octane, boost, cooling/running conditions doesn't quite paint a complete picture. personally, i would give up a few degrees of timing if it means i'm much less likely to knock. while running more timing generally indicates more power, it's a delicate balance of different factors.

I'd like to know as well.

Also, stage 1 to stage 2 is 11psi to 15psi, correct?

Had a chance to test out the launch now that I am officially have the stage 2 file on the car. A couple things jump out to me. First I was quite surprised that I didn't get a chirp or anything audible from the tires. They have just over 2k on them so they are quite new but this was on an unprepped street rd (just over the boarded in Mexico of course). The second thing, as seen in this video, is clearly the car is shifting early as I have read about from several other members posts with some EPL DSG tunes. I'm currently on the 4/28 DSG flash.

Wondering how this compares to others who have launched their EPL stage 2's and other companies. Obviously this is just a video so any number/times would just be rough speculation and irrelevant. Does something look off?

New to the whole EPL tune flashing, so if I wanna go back to stock I just use the program and select the stock flashes and go. It doesn't cost more credits or anything to go back and forth?

But you have to use the same computer cause the EPL flash program is locked by the serial number to that program on that computer? Or just contact Chris or Tony if I install the program on a different computer.

I only ask cause I had to do it from a work laptop cause the flash program wouldn't work on my personal computer.

Really dumb question but where do you buy the EPL tune?

Website is under construction and found 1 company selling it but no details, just EPL Tune and a price.

Looking for Stage II, pulley, and DSG tune.

Well, I think that the stage 1 reflash has definitely given my car some extra powers. I smoked a C5 Corvette in Mexico this morning. I was behind him and he punched it. I followed suit and by the time I hit 4th I walked him like he was standing still.

Not astounding by any means, but for a car that has 350 hp and is about 650 lbs lighter, I think I did pretty well considering it was from a roll :D Can't wait to go stage 2 in a few weeks!

You can beat a C5 base vette when your car was stock. My cousin has one and I had him at the drag strip by around .4 second when I was stock.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but looking for some advice. Trying to Flash and flash loader is blank. Any suggestions? Figured someone may have ran into this and know a quick fix. I already sent serial to EPL and it updated earlier.
