    Stolen keys...what should I do?

A couple of days ago, a group of people broke into my new house. My wife and I currently live in another house and been slowly moving stuff into our new place. I switch between my M4 and RS, keeping one locked in the garage. They stole personal items including my RS key. My RS was parked in the garage. They opened the trunk and stole all my stereo equipment, but only grab a few things from inside the car. They did not take the car and they didn't damage my car too much. Trunk is a mess though.

Police said these guys find homes that are vacant to use an "escort" hub. They post online ads luring Johns, and when they show up, will beat and rob the John at gun point. Unfortunately, my house was used that night. What is weird is that my neighborhood is very quiet, seemingly safe, and a police sergeant lives just a few houses down. Spoke with the police and they have suspects, as well as know what kind of car they drive.

Knowing where I live and have my key, what do I need to do? Do I get Audi to rekey the car? I have my other key. Thank goodness for insurance.

Man that really fuckin sucks. Sounds like organized criminals so I would definitely get every external lock on the car rekeyed. In the mean time you can delete the key they stole from the immobilizer.

Wish I had a camera system up.

Take out the fuse to ecu if you don't plan on moving the car right away. Definitely rekey and get cameras

    Definitely get the car rekeyed.

Just because they didn't take it this time, doesn't mean they won't tip off one of their low life friends and come back for the car. I would personally greet them with a .45 if they do come back.

That was my thought. I highly doubt they would return to the scene, but they might sell the key and location of the car.

I left the M4 and took the RS. I want to check how long it would be to rekey the car.

.45 could be one way, rather have something that induce more agonizing pain. Game of Thrones style flaying maybe.
