    Tuning - DSG Tune comments?

After a lot of going back and forth I decided to buy my lease out.

There are a lot of things that I wish the S4 had, better infotainment, better interior styling, and bit more communicative handling but I keep looking and there is nothing out there that interests me to replace it. The DSG is my favorite part. Audi screwed up the B9 S4 twofolder, turbo and TC trans. I really want AWD and I don't need a bigger car. I looked at S6's but they just do not feel the same.

So I'm going to buy the lease out and build the car. I've posted about thinking of doing this before and never really settled until today. We move into our new house next week and I'll have a hoist again and look forward to working on the car.

I have a Roc Auto intake and Chipwerks right now. The problem with the Chipwerks is the DSG issues. They are not often but they do happen, usually boost drop after shift or what seem like slow shifts.

One question I asked before which universally everything was in agreement is that the DSG can take pretty much anything you can throw at it from the 3.0.

Do the DSG tunes fix all the DSG related issues to tuning?

If I do it I'm going to do it all the way, pulley upgrade, stage II, DSG tune. Only thing that sucks is that I thought I was going to turn the car in so I just put on new ASW3+ tires which if I am keeping it I'll do PSS's for summer with new wheels and put winter tires on my current stock rims. I also just put new OEM rotors and pads on the car 2 days ago...but the brakes are not a big concern of mine right now.

I run meth on my centri supercharged C7, cannot run meth on a PD blower without doing port injection right? I assume the meth would not get good distribution or ignite inside the SC itself.

Also I am due my DSG service, anything different to do if I am going to do the upgrades?

    Thanks

IMHO, a TCU tune won't fix the post-shift ignition timing drop, it will need to be handled on the CW board to identify shift-points and drop the control of the BPV so the ECU won't have to dial back ignition timing. However, in order for the CW to do this, it will need access to the CANBus and read data to determine engine rpm or when an upshift is about to happen. This is what makes the difference between a simple boost controler (CW) and a more sophisticated piggyback system that can access CANBus data such as the JB4 on the BMW's.

Thanks. I was talking about in regards to a GIAC Stage II tune, I thought the stage I tunes were running into the same DSG issues as the CW.

Oh I see. I recall my giac stage II being pretty solid in terms of upshifts.
